Estimating Your Storage Requirements

Because we recognize that everyone's storage needs are different, our spaces are offered in a variety of sizes, ranging from a locker to a two car garage. Logically, the bigger your unit, the more the cost. But remember, because living space is not required, you can fit far more in your unit than you might expect.

A couch, for example, can be turned on end; legs of tables can be removed for efficiency of space, etc. In fact, except for an optional aisle or two, you can fill up almost every inch of available space, right up to the ceiling.

If you plan on storing entire rooms of furniture or equipment, you can easily estimate your needs using the guide below. Or, if you'll be storing assorted items, see the table of typical home and office goods with corresponding space requirements. That table can be found here.

Once you have calculated the total number of cubic feet required, use the table below to determine the size storage unit you will need. Remember, if you miscalculate or your needs change you can always transfer to a smaller or larger unit, at any time.
